| dc.description.abstract | In the present investigation an attempt has been made to study the emissivity characteristics of soil at microwave frequencies. Transmission line model is developed for estimation of soil emissivities. Dielectric constant is measured in laboratory using infinite sample method H.M. Altshuler [1] in frequency range [2 GHz -12 GHz]. It is found that dielectric constant increases with frequency as well as moisture content. Emissivity is calculated as a function of frequency and moisture content at different look angle. It is found that emissivity increases with frequency while decreases with moisture content. This result is fair agreement with Schmugge [10]. | |
