| dc.description.abstract | Internet of things (IoT) has been taking the industrial sector by storm. Healthcare is one such field that has begun to realize its utility. The health insurance companies which form a small but significant part of the healthcare ecosystem have also begun using this technology to adapt their service models. This chapter discusses various ways in which these companies have modified their business processes, using IoT, to provide better service to their end customers. We also discuss the consequences of this change on these companies and the policy buyers, along with various bottlenecks of using IoT in this industry. © 2021 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. | |
