Abstract

Valorization of lignin to valuable chemicals via catalytic pathways is recognized as one of the most practical approaches to explore its value and replace nonrenewable petroleum resources. This forum highlights remarkable progress and emerging strategies in the synthesis of valuable bioactive molecules from lignin via both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic pathways. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.
