Abstract
A gyroelectromagnetic chirofiber where a gyroelectromagnetic chiral core is surrounded by a uniform and isotropic dielectric cladding has been analytically studied for the characteristics of the guided modes. The longitudinal components of the E and H fields are coupled and the transverse components are expressed in terms of the longitudinal components. The effect of the chiral admittance on the modal properties of the fiber is also presented.
