| dc.description.abstract | An experimental investigation has been made to study the distribution of intervals between successive zero crossings of electrical noise which is non-Gaussian in nature. It has been observed that the distribution of intervals between zero crossings for non-Gaussian noise does not differ much with that of Gaussian noise. Furthermore, the observed result has boon compared with the probability density function of the zero crossing interval calculated by McFadden's (1908) expression because of its flexible assumptions of quasi independence, and it has been fount! that the calculated values agree with the observed values. © Taylor and Francis Group, LLC. | |
