| dc.description.abstract | The objective of the study was to investigate the mechanism and kinetics for Cr (VI) reduction by magnesium sulphite in the aqueous phase and subsequent precipitation. The synthetic solutions containing 10 to 60 g/m3 Cr (VI) are used. Effects of various parameters on % Cr (VI) reduction, such as contact time, concentration of Cr (VI) in initial solutions, dose of reducing reagent, pH of initial Cr (VI) solutions, temperature, and pH of the solution after reduction have been discussed. Kinetics parameters of the reduction reaction is also studied. © 2005 - Kalpana Corporation. | |
