| dc.description.abstract | This article reports the fabrication and characterizations of a metal contact-free SnS2 nanosheets-based efficient white light photodetection structure patterned over a high conducting indium tin oxide (ITO) sheet. A new design aspect has been incorporated in this report to fabricate a photodetector by avoiding the realization of metal contacts pads. A low-cost and one-pot hydrothermal technique has been used to synthesize high crystalline SnS2 nanosheets. The maximum responsivity and EQE(%) of the fabricated detector for the small channel spacing 10 mu text{m} over a wavelength range 350-750 nm is found to be 8.82 A/W and 2084, respectively. The speed parameters of the fabricated structure were further investigated under white light illumination of power density 360 mu text{W} /cm2. The proposed low-cost photodetector exhibits a reasonably fast light response with the rise and fall time of 1.2 and 3 s, respectively. © 1963-2012 IEEE. | |
