Synthesis and characterisation of some complexes of Mn(II) and Fe(II) picrates with some amines

Abstract

Synthetic and structural studies on the complexes of Mn(II) and Fe(II) picrates with polyamines, viz. o-phenylenediamine, ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, benzidine, hexamethylenetetramine and 2-aminopyridine, and the monoamine N,N-dimethylaniline are described. Octahedral stereochemistry is proposed for the newly synthesised complexes on the basis of magnetic data and IR and electronic spectral studies. © 1981.
