Effect of Organic Compounds on the Biosynthesis of Cephalosporin -C Acylase
Abstract
The effect of different organic compounds on the synthesis of cephalosporin -C acylase by Pseudomonas diminuta NCIM 2865, Bacillus megaterium NCIM 2670 and Escherichia coli NCIM 2570, their optimum concentrations and addition at different time of enzyme synthesis, have been described. Studies reveal that glutaric acid and adipic acid act as inducers while glucose and glycerol act as repressors.
