| dc.description.abstract | Corrosive wear of aluminium-copper-lead bearing alloys has been evaluated as a function of sliding distance, applied load and sliding speed under 3.5% NaCl solution at room temperature (67% humidity). Corrosive wear rate increases with load and sliding speed but decreases with lead content of the alloy. Modes of wear indicate that chemical and mechanical actions cause the corrosive wear damage. | |
