The theoretical investigation of noise parameters like noise temperature, noise figure and noise power conducted of the Gunn diode integrated Annular Ring Microstrip Antenna (ARMSA) is carried out. It is observed that by integrating the Gunn diode with ARMSA the noise temperature is increased by 3394.55 oK as compared to ARMSA for a given bias and threshold voltages over the entire operating frequency range. Further it is observed that the noise temperature decreased with increasing bias voltage for a given threshold voltage and increased with threshold voltage for a given bias voltage. The noise figure is increased by 7.26 dB as compared to ARMSA for a given bias and threshold voltage. The noise power of Gunn loaded ARMSA is increased by 17.44 dB for a given bias and threshold voltage for the entire operating frequency range and decreased with increasing the threshold voltage at a given frequency. © 2011 ISRAMT.
