Abstract
In this study, we report hexagonal MoS2 nanoflowers with well exposed edges as efficient catalyst for hydrogen production. The 2H-MoS2 nanoflowers based electrodes show a low overpotential of 0.193 V and a Tafel slope of 69 mV dec1 at a voltage sweep rate of 5 mV s−1 for hydrogen evolution reaction with excellent stability for more than 2500 cycle. We also demonstrate the production and collection of hydrogen using in-house developed electrochemical cell with 2H-MoS2 nanoflowers as cathode. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd
