| dc.description.abstract | The bond between fresh and hardened concrete can be subjected to various stress states depending on the application and service conditions. To check the effectiveness of epoxy resins and polymer emulsions, twenty one corbels and unreinforced beams and seven reinforced beams were cast and tested. The effectiveness of the repair compounds under shear and flexure were studied. From this study, it can be inferred that the epoxy resins are more effective in bonding members under flexure. However, none of the repair compounds studied are found to be effective in shear. | |
