Impedance spectroscopic studies of mixed alkali tellurite glasses
Abstract
The mixed alkali tellurite glasses for the glass system 0.70TeO2·(0.30 − x)Na2O·xK2O (x = 0.0 and 0.05) were prepared by conventional melt-quench method. The investigated glasses are characterized by impedance spectroscopic technique. The impedance behavior included the contribution of bulk or glassy matrix was found at lower temperatures and a few electrode contributions at higher temperatures. Scaling analysis of the complex modulus showed excellent temperature superposition indicated that the ion transport mechanism remains the same throughout the measured range of temperatures. Some deviations from scaling at higher frequencies are observed due to local structural disorder caused by structural transition in the tellurite glass network. © 2015, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
